Looking for stuff a little different. I'm well aware that the end of Spartacus is iconic, and the end of Life of Brian is genius paradoy, but maybe something a little different. Heaven forbid a good modern film??
Off the back of finding out there was three endings to The Butterfly Effect last night. I'd seen the directors cut where Ashton Kutcher goes back in the old grainy movie, and chokes himself in the womb, but my bias in music made me love the theatrical ending I saw last night.
Evan (Ashton Kutcher) sacrifices his love for Kayleigh (Amy Smart) by going back to the memory of first meeting her as children, and scaring her away so that Kayleigh never became part of his life, and she grew up happy and successful-though now they never knew each other. Pretty basic, but the ending is where 'Stop Crying your Heart out' starts to play in the background, as they pass each other in the street, stop and look at each other. And as she walks away, he turns and follows her, and end.
Difficult to explain really, because it sounRAB s**t written down, but anyone who's seen it will know what I mean. Good film, topped off with a brilliant ending, perfect music, quality acting and slightly creepy to boot.
