    Most Treasured C.D/ L.P etc.

What are the most treasured in your music collection? Not neccessarily what the music is but what it represents. Had it the longest, signed, rare etc

    A couple of mine:

I can remeraber my dad having these in the 70's and he gave them to me so they are around 35 years old I think. I rarely play them but obviously treasure them.

3 disc version with both mono and stereo versions with a disc of early singles and out takes. Plus a Syd Barrett replica scrapbook with his drawings, paintings etc

One of my very first C.D's. Nuff said. BTW-It's a Hawkwind album.

I know some of you out there are going to have some top quality stuff so get snapping and posting.

I found an original pressing of S.F. Sorrow ina 60's garage bin at my local music shop.

They were charging more for a vinyl copy of Pablo Honey.

I don't have anything very special either. The rarest CD I have is a copy of From the Vaults Of Mainman; a bootleg of various David Bowie rarities, including early (unreleased) mixes of songs, a live cover of Imagine, a few alternate mixes, unreleased songs and the like. Cost me only

I treasure a huge pile of original recorRAB that my dad gave me when I moved out of home. It's a random and eclectic mix of a whole lot of stuff that he acquired in his teenagehood and at university.

My most treasured are all bootlegged concerts. But for official releases, The Smashing Pumpin's "Adore" takes me back to my Chicago days, particularly gray and snowy Saturday afternoons looking out over Lincoln Park, Diversey Harbor, LSD, and Lake Michigan. Life was good. It even makes me talk all poetic and sh*t.

Mine would probably have to be the score to the movie Sunshine.

I love the score anyway, but I have it signed by John Murphy as well as Karl Hyde and Rick Smith from Underworld, who all contributed to it, and Danny Boyle the director.

What makes it even more special is that it still hasn't been released for some reason.

I have quite a few cool collectible CRAB etc, but the others are all what I have paid for so, whilst they are good to have, aren't really special in a unique way.

For a while I treasured My Bloody Valentine's Loveless on LP because I thought it was rare to find, but apparently they've been re-released or something.

So I think Pet SounRAB on LP, with all tracks on mono, is my most treasured vinyl. It's a limited edition 180 gram vinyl.

On CD it's a tougher choice. The rarest thing I have is Stereolab's Emperor Tomato Ketchup, which isn't that hard to find.

Just remerabered I've got a copy of Nico' 'Icon' (the re-release of the remix of 'Drama Of Exile' - long story). Don't know how rare it is, but I can't find it online and I picked it up in a second-hand shop, so I assume it's not exactly the easiest album to find
