I don't want to be a bodybuilder or anything, I just want to achieve a muscular physique. Its probably been about a good 8 months or so since i've started weight training... I was 180 lbs and now im 200 flat. No fat gain just muscle. I'm a 17 year old male at 6 ft 3 inches. As for my bench press, I wasn't able to bench 135 more than maybe 5 times or so. Now I can max out at around 225, possibly more now. I could probably do like 4 or 5 pullups at the most. Now i can do like 15. I was shoulder pressing 20 lb dumbells 15 reps. Now i can do 45 lb dumbells 15 reps. I was also dumbell pressing 35 lb dumbells at around 10 reps, now i can do 75 lb dumbells at 10 reps. I wan't able to do more than 2 or 3 dips before, now i can do like 15. I know this is all upper body workouts, my legs are still a work in progress. My gains have inevitably slowed down as well. So am I doing well? Any advice on what i should do?
Ocky, I want a little of both, but i think that along with strength comes a good physique. I don't want to be some chubby powerlifter so I'm not gonna go and overeat just to gain big muscle mass.
