Steve Earle-Copperhead Road
I really loved this album. I think Steve is very underrated both as a songwriter and an activist, and I think this album is American music at it's finest. My favorite song would have to be his collaboration with the Pogues "Johnny Come Lately". Listen to the worRAB, it is a song his Grandfather used to sing him about the reception the WWII soldiers got when they came home and the reception the Vietnam soldiers got when they came home. "Standin on a runway in San Diego, couple purple hearts so I move a little slow, ain't nobody here so maybe nobody knows, about a place called Vietnam"
led zep..prescense
I love this album while most people think it's their worse.
I think ALL of the distillers albums are over looked and no one really gives them a chance, I never see them being play on tv or anyuthig but maybe thats a good thing, I dont wanna get sick of them they're infact a pretty sik band! CH-CH-CHECK IT OUT!!
It is their worst, it's still good, just not great.
That's the point of this thread though, to say what albums you think are better than most people make them out to be.
I also love this album
Soundgarden- Louder Than Love
This album never ****ing gets the recognition it so deserves from any review or whatever:
OK i`m going to risk losing even more credibility here but who cares.......
Right then lets get one thing straight there are 2 Whitesnakes.
Most people remeraber the mid - late 80s abomination of a hair metal band with steve Vai on guitar (UGH!!!!).But what people don`t seem to realise is between 1978-82 Whitesnake put out some of the best British blues rock i`ve ever heard , easily on a par with the likes of Thin Lizzy.
This album takes the best of David Coverdale`s first 4 Whitesnake albums & also tracks from some of the material he recorded with Deep Purple.
It`s also recorded by the best Whitesnake line up of all time featuring 4 ex merabers of Deep Purple (Coverdale himself , Jon Lord , Ian Paice & Glenn Hughes)as well as the underrated duo of Mickey Moody and Bernie Marsden on guitar. The 11 minute version of Mistreated is absolutly blistering.
Anyone who calls themself a fan of classic rock should own this.
Was just about to say that, and the album before it, Ultramega OK. No one ever speaks of these albums.
