You need to convert the MEID to an ESN using the online calculator.

lol ya a lot of these stores say crazy stuff with these phones about the ESN.... ive had customers come back and say "this cricket store told me u didnt flash it right" or "the ESN is wrong on this phone"...

But sometimes you always get the ones who start throwing letters in there like, p, t. Uh, hello, hex letters are A through F! Then you have to go through a basic math lesson. Hexadecimal is base 16, the nuraber has to be converted to decimal, base 10, in order for CID to recognize.

before i was a dealer and activated all my phones, i got in the habbit of making a small printout with the ESN conversion and basic instructions to manually program every phone before i sent it out.

cricket corporate stores usually lack the knowledge to perform a conversion and 99 percent of the people there do not know a thing on manually programming
