what would a audiovox vm9411 media module be good for?

so i got a truck that had a crappy deck just slid into the dash (no wires hooked up, didn't even have the decks wiring harness) and all the speaker wires cut on a pnp harness. well i found all sorts of wires i figured went to something more, and bam! i found a audeovox vm9411 media box behind my glovebox...

i don't have the deck for which it was made, but my other car has some random xm ready stuff in it. just wondering if there was anything cool/useful/interesting i could do to hook it up

Not much you can do with it without the deck. The media box was just a way to extend the input plugs on the back of the head unit to another location. In other words, if you wanted to plug in an iPod, video game or video player, or auxiliary source, the media box gave you a convenient place to connect it without having to run the wire to the front or back of the in-dash unit. Unless you have a head unit with the rear inputs, the media box doesn't do much for you.
