Bourne Movies - Anyone read the books? help..

How close are the movies to the books??!

Also what the fuck is the connection between Bourne and Nicky?!! Mother fuck, I was going to get pissed if she got capped.

There is pretty much no connection between the books and movies other than the titles.

Nicky did logistics and monitored the health of the agents when Bourne was wrapped up in Treadstone.

About the only thing the same with the books and movies is that they have a character named Jason Bourne who is a government trained assassin.

The books were written in the early 80's before we have all the technology that we have now so they changed the story to make it more modern.

For example, in the Bourne Supremacy Marie isnt killed at the beginning, she is kidnapped and the book is about him getting her back. Not to mention it takes place in China.

I dont think there is a character named Nicky in the books, but its been a while since I have read them.

Yeah I don't believe they was a character named Nicky in the books. As others have said the books have almost nothing in common with the movies, apart from Bourne, his memory loss and Treadstone, even though they aren't really very similar either.

Marie also wasn't some poor student either, she was a Canadian economist with a PhD.

As with most things the books are better (imo) but the movies are definately entertaining.

I read the books and like the others have said, not much of a connection. The books are quite a lot different. For example no mention of Carlos The Jackal or Medusa or Bourne's old family and etc...

But it's actually quite good because if it'd been set in the 80's then it'd just been boring. IMO the movies are far better than the books.
