Thread: Peanut noodles

    Peanut noodles

For dinner tonight (leftover baked chicken thighs, fresh asparagus,
salad) I made some peanut-sauced noodles from an online recipe (maybe
even on this site) that I had printed a while ago. I think I used too
much peanut butter for the recipe. They were yummy but gummy.

    gloria p,

Sounds like a good meal combo.

Too bad about the peanut noodle gumminess.

I would've cheapened the noodle dish and used a jar of Thai spicy peanut
sauce instead of scratch. Maybe diluted it down with a little coconut or
regular cream to a runnier consistency. That certainly wouldn't diminish
    the flavor.

    Better luck next time!

    Best,

    Andy

Sounds good...but next time...loosen up the peanut butter with
    water....works like a charm.

    sf,

Right! TJ's has (or had) a good jarred version, in my Philly region.
After careful practice, my Thai chicken satay tastes as good, if not
    better than "downtown!"

Of course, it's a world of difference from American peanut noodles which
I've never made. I just wrongly associated it with Thai cuisine from the
    chicken and peanut sauce mentioned.

Thanks, I'll try that. The recipe I used had quite a bit of liquid,
vegetable oil, sesame oil, soy sauce, chili-garlic sauce, etc.

I posted a peanut sauce recipe a few years ago. I rarely post
    recipes, but they're all originals.

And after I posted this I have no recipe or suggestions for noodles,
    so it probably wasn't mine.
