South Park "Jared Has Aides" no longer banned?

I noticed my cable guide shows that it's being shown at 8:30 Central time on Comedy Central.

I didn't know it was even banned in the first place.

South Park "Jared Has Aides" no longer banned?

Yeah it was banned for some reason (either the AIDS references or because of the ending). However, I did see a repeat a few years ago.

The reason it was banned was that Comedy Central didn't like how Butter's parents beat him up in the ending, so they took it off of rotation and told Matt and Trey to never end a show like that again.

    Wonder why it's back now.

Cause is aids is such a funny thing to make jokes about...

This is where society is headed, sad really.

Of ALL the things that poor Butters has been put through (Getting violated in Awesome-O; The Ninja Star incident in Good Times With Weapons, etc), THAT'S the thing Comedy Central gets riled about?

Well, those were both after this episode...

They ended an episode by having his parents tie him to the basement floor and try to feed him people.

They ended another one by feeding a kid's parents to the kid.

This is a very strange line Comedy Central has chosen.

It's probably because both of those examples were over-the-top and played for humor while the joke about child-beating hit too close to home.

That makes sense, but im sure that theyve had child abuse jokes on some of CC's live action material. Heck, when they had the rights to snl they showed buck henry's "uncle roy" sketches which are 10 times more disturbing than a cartoon character getting beaten up.
