Will the apple store allow me to just bring in my micro sim card instead of bringing my old iPhone in? I'm selling it today and then Im going to the apple store to buy the 4S. Can I do this?

I just sold my iPhone 4. I took out my att micro sim card to go buy the new iPhone 4s. Can I do this? ?
