I'm 17 years old and very athletic. I wrestle on my high schools team, which is very grueling. During a practice, I mentioned to a friend that he should clean his shoes because he dragged rocks onto the mat that I then kneeled onto. Only I didn't kneel onto anything. A new pain that didn't seem to occur from one specific time I dropped to knee, just appeared. Now three weeks later, the pain in that knee is a little worse. It's not even noticable until I kneel on it. Even the slightest bit of pressure makes me wince in pain, such as crawling into bed or scrubbing myself down in the shower. The pain is on the bottom half of the Patella towards the inside of the leg. I have described the pain as kneeling on rocks, broken glass or thumbtacks. But if I'm not kneeling on it, I don't even really notice it.

I was a crybaby growing up, so it takes a bone sticking through skin to get my parents convinced that I'm injured. So is this any sign of an injury or just some lingering pain?
