I made a claim for miss sold PPI.....it was rejected as they said I knew it was optional and could cancel at any time. The problem was on the day I went in to sign for the loan I told the woman at the bank I did not want the PPI. She said I could only have the loan if I had the insurance as that was what was agreed. I cannot prove we had this conversation, so they are saying I knew it was optional. Is it worth pursuing the case with the ombudsman? It was a monthly policy so not tied in with the loan, which they are saying makes it right for them to reject the claim as I could of cancelled at any time. But why would I have cancelled when I was told I could only have that loan with the insurance policy to cover it?
