Where do I recycle the plastic pumps from my plastic bottles?

Hi! Does anyone know where I can recycle the plastic pumps from my plastic bottles? Our township don't take them and neither does the local recycling center that takes almost everything else. The recycling center did say if they were taken apart they might be able to recycle them, but there is no way I can take them apart...I tried. It is such a shame, I have so many of them and I am really conscious about recycling. Any information would be deeply appreciated. Thank you and have a nice one. MJ

I don't think you will find anyplace to recycle them. They are made from several pieces of different types of plastic with a metal spring inside. if you could take them apart and identify the different kinds of plastic you could recycle each piece separately. No recycling center is going to do that. The value of the pieces is not enough to justify the labor of separating them.
