We have this long paper to write for english in 9th grade about whether or not intelligent design should be taught along with evolution theory. This is a PERSUASIVE essay.
My three arguments:
1. intelligent design violates the first amendment, which calls for a separation of church and state in a public environment.
2. science is a subject that is taught so that a conclusion can be reached on finite evidence. since there is no way that intelligent design is based upon rational and empirical evidence, and even violates some of the laws of nature, it does not fit into the science curriculum.
3. i can't think of one!
Please help me think of a third argument. Do you think this looks good? Also, what can I say to sound smart? I hang out at R&S a lot, so I know the stuff I should put, but just making sure.
