How do I turn on the high beams on my 1986 cadillac deville?

The low beams work, but I can't seem to find the highs.

pull the blinker arm on left of stearing wheel toward you while headlights are on

Check on the floor board by your left foot there might be a round metal button, step on it. Some older cars were like that.
