This bothered me a bunch. And then I forgot it. And now I remember it again and it bothers me even more:
Dumbledore says at the very end that only those that want to find the stone and not use it will get the stone. Anyone else that looks in the mirror will only see what they want to gain with the stone. Right? Right.
But Quirrel didn't want to use the stone--he just wanted to find it. When he looked into the mirror, he saw himself giving the stone to Voldemort--not what he wanted to gain from having the stone. So why didn't he get the stone?
