I got pregnant when I was 19 and I opted not to marry my baby's father. I decided that I wanted to go back to school and pursue my dream of being a veterinarian instead of becoming a stay at home mom. I knew that in my heart that my ex would hold me back from going to school because he believed a woman should stay home with the kids. That's not what I wanted. Well, anyway, I didn't marry him and I chose to make the decision of being a single parent. I'm now 23 and going to transfer to the University of Florida to start the vet program. Was there anything wrong with the decision I made? Why do some people think I should have became a stay at home mom?
By the way, my parents are very supportive of me and help me to take care of my daughter.
