    Is it safe for dogs to dig up food and eat it months later?

    I often see my chihuahuas munching on snack that I had given them months earlier covered in dirt. They are beef/chicken jerky, rawhide, beef sticks, etc.

    Don't they spoil being buried in the ground for so long?

    yep sure it, burying food is natures refrigerator
