Maybe because it is "oh so painful". We have to be ripped open, and that hurts! Even if we decide to get an epidural we still rip, and every time we go pee it burns! It's hard to walk after you give birth to. It's not just physically painful, it's emotionally painful sometimes too. And it's not an act.
