Discuss: It doesn't matter whether homosexuality is genetic or chosen; the fact...

...that it is a sin still stands.? The unchanging fact is that they are being sinful, and are to be punished accordingly. Why is "born gay" or whether they spread AIDS or not even a debating matter? We should just do our Christian duties without giving a though to it.

This is what the Bible says on it:

Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Nothing says that homosexuals were chosen to be gay or chose to be gay themselves. But it is very clear that homosexuals are sinful. Why does it matter whether they were born that way or not? Why should it matter that they have no harm in a secular sense and do not spread AIDS at all? We Christians, instead of wasting time on questions like that, should simply do unto homosexuals what they deserve.

    With blessings,
    Morganie

the biggest problem concerning AIDS is not using condoms (against christianity) if condoms were to be used you would see AIDS almost dissapear.

let me remind you aids can spread from male to female and female to male not just same sex.

let me ask you this one question.

if it was a a sin for a black man to be christian; then is it his fault if he is born with black skin and still wants to be a christian?

you need to see a doctor to find out the truth about aids AND to get some help yourself

if being gay is a sin let your god handle it and just live your life, it isn't YOUR job to judge them and condemn them and by doing so you are sinning so you have no right to speak about sinning anyway. doesn't god want you to love everyone? just because you don't agree with them doesn't mean you have to hate them or stay away from them.

"Do unto homosexuals what they deserve"

"they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

You are seriously advocating the murder of gays?

    I'm speechless.

At the end of the day, we know something is wrong, we can either choose to do it or not

"It doesn't matter whether homosexuality is genetic or chosen; the fact that it is a sin still stands."

Absolutely true. In some religions at least - yours particularly apparently.

However, the fact that some religious people consider something a sin does not mean that that something should be outlawed or used as a reasonable basis for discrimination.

After all, who was it who talked about the whole "do unto others" thing? Oh, that's right. Jesus.

Always interesting for me to see how many people quote the Bible, but only the parts they want. I've been reading this page for a few days now, and the same people keep on quoting the same pieces.

I'd say, if you want to quote the Bible, read it from cover to cover. Don't just use passages from the Old Testament, look at the New Testament too. A lot of the quotes you are using form the Old Testament are changed by the New Testament.

Look at it as a whole, not just the pieces that you like reading, or serves your own purpose.

Many kind of sins seem to be genetic. Otherwise how are we supposed to have the original sin from birth? It seems to be passed on from generation to generation.
We're guilty of the crime of being human. If we happen to be gay, we're twice as guilty.

The bible says a lot of things.

1Cor.14:34-35 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

    Deuteronomy 21:18-21
If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders,This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard. Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death.

    (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)
When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property.

    (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)
However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance.

Leviticus 20:9 - For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him

    Exodus 31:15
For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
