    why is a 2002 pontiac firebird v6 faster than a 1997 pontiac firebird v6?

    I drive a 1997 3.8l V6 Pontiac Firebird. My brother drives a 2002 3.8l V6 Pontiac Firebird. Why is his model faster than mine?

    It's not faster. They both have the same motor that makes the same amount of power...200 horsepower. They are both rated as being able to do 0-60mph in 7.8 seconds.

    Either he is a better driver or your motor is just worn out.
