how to be a good electronics engg student?

i finished my 3rd sem in e n c..... got very poor results there.... i want to work in isro or iisc or drdo.... what shall i do

Thing is that practical persons are in short supply, clever ones that know the theory and not the practical are 2 a penny.
I found that college was a farce and teaching me obsolete stuff, I went as a craft apprentice, and ended up teaching, and doing high tech stuff so now I am retired I can cope with both doing and sorting virtually all types ranging from mains electrical, say 1100A 3 phase to designing and building small electronic boxes in compliance with CE.
Get into a company where you can grow with the interest. As you get interested in a subject you learn about it. Favorites now, grounding and internet systems.
Past projects included, test arena for RAF, First blanket controlled Street lighting in UK, electronic controller for E type Jag charging systems, thermostat relays, power press control systems, and many high current 240/415 systems.
