Why is congress wasting so much time debating health care?

Either pass it or drop it.

It's ridiculous for congress to be investing this much time on health care.

The focus should be on the economy and civil rights, not health care.

What they're proposing to do with health care isn't even going to make much difference.
    -no public option
    -no medicare buy-in
So what's it gonna do? It's gonna accomplish nothing of value.

and it's sick that they are trying to FINE people for refusing to enter a private insurance market.
    That is unconstitutional.
Jerk: You only need car insurance if you choose to drive.
    Otherwise, you don't need insurance.

and if you do drive, you only need insurance for the person you hit, not yourself.
Humble: Dems has control of the senate during the early 90's.

It's called misdirection, they get everyone fixated on health care that way they'll stop paying attention to and caring about what they're doing to the economy.

They shouldn't have started with Pelosi's 1000 page long bill.

Obama will never get anything done unless he grows a pair and puts a leash on the psycho lizard-woman.

They couldn't get this done with an entire year and total control of everything!

Obama is stubborn. Even though he promise to concentrate on the economy, he wants to say he won!!! He put his clout on the health care and consider it a personal lost not passing it. He wanted health care to be his legacy. What's horrfying is he doesn't even understand how the health care system works or what really is wrong with it, but wants to fix it. His idea is to move forward because the system is broken. The problem is moving forward in the dark, could have us all falling off the cliff. Of course, having him move on in fixing our economy, may not be an improvement. He does'nt even understand the economy and anyone who understand Keynesian economics would have to admit that Obama is an idiot since he wants to eliminate government waste while using Keynesian economics. (Keynesian economics is about hiring extra governement worker until we are out of the recession, since most waste in government in one form or other is excess workers, Obama is cancelling out the benefits of his excess hiring)

SLowing the process down, is not a bad thing. The new trick that our congressmen are doing is to pass laws before the public can see what they are and protest the bad laws. That was what happen with all the bail outs. SOme of the good congressmen tried to stop it and even pointed out the flaws like the public would end up paying huge bonuses for the executives of these bad banks. Before a law is passed, we need to make sure our leaders thought it through.

First, because this is the first time in decades that the party has dominated the White House, House and Senate (although the Senate just lost its 60th democratic vote). They know this dominance will probably not happen again for decades so they want to push through their 40-year old wish list. Secondly, if we are unlucky and the democrats do somehow pass the bill they want, they will be able to associate almost everything to health care and be able to tell you how you will run your life. Do you really want to live like the Chinese or Iranians?
