Thread: Why do people on yahoo rant about Nancy Pelosi now and then look at the facts later?

It's an uphill battle getting people to look at what little effect she has in the grand scheme of things...

And almost NONE of these people have actually looked at the way she and Obama have voted on issues like FISA... they took the "warrantless" out of "warrantless wiretapping" and took the "privilege" away from George Bush... something McCain said he agreed with and then did not bother to vote on...

Where is all this disinformation about Nancy Pelosi coming from?

Is there somekind of anti-pelosi website that spews out all these lies and manipulations?

They suck! You said it as good as I could have. FISA is BS, but this is all we got to work with... Maybe Hillary will run still? I can only hope.

No website Needed. Nancy Pelosi is the worst speaker we have ever had, total incompetent. She has done virtually nothing to move bills through congress. She is ineffective and lacks any respect necessary to handle the position.

Congressional Record will support that.

So tell me about all the accomplishments Speaker Pelosi has had. Gee, she eventually got a new intelligence gathering bill passed that everyone wanted and Bush kept complaining was delayed.

Are we out of Iraq yet? Has any new energy policy been passed? Has one even come up for a vote in the House?

She came into power stating she was going to clean up congress. I have yet to see her do much of anything, at all. Much less improve congress.

Yeah, you seemed to have missed the fact that she has refused to allow legislation to go up for a vote that she personally disagrees with. How does that fit into democracy?

You fail to point out that she has told Democrats in the House, especially those up for re-election to tell their constituents that they are for drilling, even if they agree with her, and she will take "the heat" for it. That's nothing but lies and manipulation.

You fail to point out that she's wasted large sums of money and time "investigating" anything and everything that has to do with the Bush administration, trying to fulfill her campaign promise to impeach the President, yet she has come up with absolutely nothing.

You fail to point out that she's spent $16, 000 just on sending flowers to people since she's been in office, yet complains about the deficit. You fail to point out that since she's been Speaker, the congress has sent the economy into a tailspin, not the President who has no effect on the economy.

You fail to point out that she wanted to sue the communications companies that cooperated with the government while protecting us from another 9/11 until a federal judge overruled her.

Neither she, nor the congress has removed any "executive privilege" either from the sitting President or any President since she is incapable of doing so. Exactly which person in the administration whom she subpoenaed has appeared before congress? None that I can think of and, if some have, it is a very small number. She hasn't been able to thwart that, either.

Seems to me that you are sending out disinformation about Pelosi since you aren't telling most of the story.
