    My new gas stove not work proporley. I turn the gas on, but I just get weird smell.?

    I am trying to cook a curry. The gas is on but there is no cooking.

    Do Not turn the knobs to on cause it's releasing gas into your home. Just lift the top of stove and there should be places to light the pilot. Then once you've done this then you turn the knobs to on.
