Whenever i have tried jumping rope, i always double jump and the workout takes a lot of time and doesn't feel effective. I am a beginner and i would like to know if i can do a workout without the rope
but mimic the same hand movements and jumping as if i am really skipping and whether or not the workout will still be effective. I am 110 pounds and 5'5 inches tall. My stomach also hurts after a few minutes and i can only go until 10 minutes. I also have lots of calf pain the next day or two.

Can you give me some advice.
