Recently my employer changed to Aetna from BCBS. I have been under treatment for high blood pressure for a few years now which is well controlled by medication/diet and exercise.
My policy with BCBS ended March 31st and Aetna kicked in April 1st. I had a routine dr's office visit on April 12th for blood pressure monitoring, and my doctor put in a claim for an office visit of 90 dollars. Aetna is witholding the claim until I return a questioniarre that they sent me about my pre-existing conditions. Is it possible that they are not going to pay for this visit because I have been treated for high blood pressure in the past?
