What happens if I have 20-30k credit card debt and leave the country to go...

...backpacking for a decade? I have no assets...
Can they bug my parents to pay?
Will they just give up and kill my credit rating?
When I return will I have to pay?
    Am I breaking any laws?
Should I declare bankruptcy? keep in mind I don't care about my Credit rating, just don't want to pay the debt back.
Also... What happens if I get the bank to do one of those cheques that come out of my Credit Card for say 3k and give it to my folks since I owe them money... Can they come after my folks for that? :/
or what if i get a pin, take out a few k in cash and then give that to my folks... how would they feel about that? : /
