    why does my lexus idle weird?

    I have a 95 lexus es300. I recently passed smog with no problem.last night the check engine light went on. Also when I warm it up in the mornings after like 10 minutes it will start to idle loudly and weird...hellp???

    I would have codes ran on this, it sounds like the iac or possibly maf is bad but before dumping money into it that don't fix the problem take it to your local autozone, have them run the codes and then buy the part that you need. both mentioned parts are fairly simple to change

    You probably have a bad sensor somewhere, probably idle mixture or something. Have the trouble code pulled, it should narrow the search down pretty fast.

    I would return to the shop where you had the test done.. sounds to me like they might have knocked a hose off.
    Also have the light checked, it most likely will tell you the problem.
