I hear to pass navy training camp (bootcamp) is to get an average score of 60 (PFT) combined of 3 events. These events are the Curl Ups, the Push ups, and the 1.5 mile run.

My question is do I need push ups to pass the requirements?

I am a cross country runner and I have no upper body muscle at ALL!! I am going to bootcamp in 3 months and i dont think i can do it!

I can EASILY run the 1.5 mile run under 8:30 and score 100 points on that and i can do curlups easily as well and get about 80 points on that maybe. However I cant do any push ups... so 180 divived by 3 would = a PFT score of 60. Would I be able to graduated boot camp this way?? Somebody please help me..


I literally cant do anymore than 30 push ups.... i am extremely week but i can easily run 3 miles in 17 minutes and run the 1.5 mile in sub 7 minutes...
