They're asking that we drive ourselves into more debt

Obama's EVENTUAL plans are to send a man to new celestial bodies. However, right now we're going to continue to study celestial bodies. Perhaps send a few more probes there first...you know things we SHOULD have done for the moon but instead risked billions of dollars and the safety of our astronauts in hopes to beat Russia at the space race.

Seriously, get edumacated on space history.

Well since Obama wont be president by the next time we will even be able to put a man on another celestial body you dont really have to worry. He's just doing the CORRECT things right now, whether you want to admit it or not.

Obama will leave behind a relatively good legacy based on what he has already done.

Better would be if we did fake the mission and china fails miserably, misses, and ends up sending them to the sun.

You mean when NASA was burning up the budget like it was the thing to do?

The mission was to go to the moon....just because. We didn't get any advantage by going to the moon. Just inflated ego's.
