    Bell 8.0 UHF Remote

I believe the 4500 was UHF and IR, so the UHF Pro will not work.

The RF will be incompatible. Not sure about the IR. You might need to program the AUX device as a Bell receiver and use that instead of the SAT device. You might also be able to pick up an older model remote cheap on eBay.

    Bell 8.0 UHF Remote

I did it with a remote from a 9200, not sure if its the same remote you have, but on mine all i did was slide out the key at the bottom and turn it over, which gave me uhf, and it worked fine, but my remote was a 6.2. Pinza might know if this is the same as yours. As for IR that doesn't seem to work as I have tried using an IR remote frome another Bell receiver and it would not work.

    Bell 8.0 UHF Remote

How does one do this? I've looked around and haven't found a code for a Bell receiver. Thanks.

The 6.2 Remote is IR & UHF Pro.
The 8.0 Remote is UHF Pro.

The 4500 will respond to IR through line of sight to the front of the receiver or UHF, providing there is an antenna at the rear of the receiver and that the receiver is not defective.

    1. Press and hold the AUX button until all other modebuttons light up, and then let go of the button. AUX should continue to flash.
    2. Press #3.
    3. Use the number pad to enter the remote address of the receiver you are wanting to control.
    4. Press #, AUX should now flash 3 times.
    5. Press RECORD to set the Receiver to the Remote address.

Press AUX, it should now control the other receiver.

    Bell 8.0 UHF Remote

    From the fine manual...

Programming to Control a Second Satellite Receiver

If you have another satellite receiver installed, you can use this remote in Aux mode to control it along with your new receiver. When you program the remote to control this other receiver, the remote will send out IR and UHF (not UHF Pro) signals to the receiver.

1 - Turn on the other receiver and display the System Info screen (see the user’s guide for information on how to display the screen). Write the address:

2 - Press and hold AUX until all the other mode buttons light up, and then let go of the button. AUX flashes.

    3 - Press the 3 button.

4 - Use the NUMBER PAD to enter the address you wrote in step 1.

5 - Press POUND (#). AUX blinks three times.

6 - Press RECORD to make sure the address and the remote matches the address on the receiver.
