I agree. The only claymation movies I've ever liked have been those classic Chrimstas ones. But this one definitely stands alone - the characters and emotions they go through and so real.

Oh I saw Mary & Max in cinema (a couple of months ago). Brilliant film!
The humorous angle of the film makes it very enjoyable to watch, despite the rather heavy theme.
I have never been a clay film fan.. but after 5 min you forget that it's made of clay. It's a amazing that you can feel sympathy for clay XD.
When the DVD comes out here, I'm definitely going to buy it!
^I agree, yet ironically, I've been watching it more than once a day since I first watched it. lol I'm just so in love with it. I've cried each time I've watched it...obviously. :bawl:
I love that movie. It's not one of those that you would want to watch every day, but it sure does stay in your memory.
Awesome. I hope I see the name come across my TV Guide. :glow: This looks like my type of movie.
Me too. I think it's available on at least one movie channel here...in the States. Not sure about any place else though.
I hate when that happens! Hopefully it will show up on the movie channels sooner or later.
From what I've gathered, I think it barely got released anywhere - which is a real shame. It's available on DVD, but I'm not sure if it's available in every country yet.
Looking at the cast I'm surprised I've never heard of this movie before. Is it in theaters or on DVD?
Hey guys! Welcome to the :love:Mary and Max:love: Appreciation Thread.
A tale of friendship between two unlikely pen pals: Mary, a lonely, eight-year-old girl living in the suburbs of Melbourne, and Max, a forty-four-year old, severely obese man living in New York.
It is a simple tale of pen-friendship between two very different people; Mary Dinkle, living in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia and New Yorker Max Horovitz. Spanning twenty years and two continents, Mary and Max's friendship survives much more than the average diet of life's ups and downs.

Have any of you seen this? I watched it last night and again this morning - I'm completely IN LOVE with it. It's truly one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. It's also incredibly heartbreaking, but that adds to its beauty. It's already in my Top 5, as far as my favorite movies go.
