you can use it on your own plan... but the blackberry features like email and web browser may not work.
Thanks for the reply but I have text messages that will still work right?
Depends on which BB you buy. The 7520 only accepts incoming SMS and you can only send out via email. The 7100i on the other hand sends and receives Text Messages via MMS and 100 are included with your BB plan. Hope that helps.
Ok but I was not intending to get the BB plan though
then WTF... why get a blackberry... then go stunt with a deactivated prepaid phone
No lil homie I don't have prepaid If you would have read the theard you would have seen I have the 300 Incoming plan.
"lil homie" now thats funny LOL.... but anyway... I'm not trying to hate and yes I did read your thread. And my point still is: Whats the point of having a BlackBerry without a BB plan? Its like having peanut butter without the jelly, ice without the water... like Jada without Will.... just get the BB plan you'll be happier IMO
Peace out,
Chaz
I agree the blackberry is a large paperwieght with out the blackberry part! I have seen people buy it just for the bluetooth but now you have the i870 and i605.
Jada without Will; thats good but I agree with the other post that I do not feel that I need to pay nextel and RIM to get text messaging to work. The best part of the blackberry is the fact that it is a PDA and a phone- sync to outlook contacts, sync to notes, syncs to calendar, syncs to tasks, memopad, pictures, and java programs. I see countless people that have a PDA in the pocket and a cell phone on the belt but you have to laugh- thats what a blackberry is for.
I recentally lost my 7520 and had to buy a 7100i but now I cannot get text messaging- Does anyone have a fix for this???
