my 2004 chrysler Pacific is currently making a machine gun sound when i give it gas. it also Reeves up when i start it. i am afraid to give it more gas because the sound gets louder and louder (i am afraid the engine will BLOW). what could cause this?

It sounds like you may have a hole in your muffler, have your boyfriend roll the car on ramps and climb underneath.
