    Will you return your H@H/8320?

As has been noted, some of us are confused/annoyed/frustrated with getting the 8320 to function in UMA with the Hotspot@Home service with routers otehr than T-Mobile's std issue Linksys andf D-Link.

So, how many of you will give it the 2 weeks for T-mobile to address the lack of full functionality w/other G/N routers before canceling? I'm ready to pack it in.

Well the TMobile router is free after rebate. And it works with other routers just sometimes it may have some connectivity issues. Have you tried resetting your phone and then resetting the connection. If you were successful in connecting to your router did you save it as one of your wireless profiles. Because if you don't set it up as your wireless profiles you'll only have a 24hour connection and then it'll disconnect it. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

I've had no problems connecting to my router or random open networks at work, bookstore, or mall. Wish I knew what to tell you.

    Will you return your H@H/8320?

Mine is all boxed up waiting to go back. I tried everything I read here and on different forums with no luck. Tmobile doesnt know whats up quite yet, I think the tech is too new still. I hope they perfect it as I will come back if they do. I just don't want to be an early tester for them.

Mine worked but not like they said it would. When on UMA I had constant static even on different channels. It never once handed off in either direction. I could not get it to hold a call with my parents Verizon Fios router for more than 10 seconds. Tmobile said they don't support Verizon equipment, Verizon did not want to help us make it work.

I was also told by a Tmobile CSR that the free UMA minutes were only at home even though I paid for the H@H service, when on other networks such as other family or friends it would pull minutes off of my account. I do not know how accurate this is, and will not find out since I am not sticking with it.

Maybe they could've avoided this by setting up well-thought out tutorials? Maybe they'll learn from this for the next rollout. Shame, cuz I also think a lot of us are trying to make it work but T-mo H@H level 3 support is swamped.

Actually the minutes are free at other locations. And also TMobile won't trouble shoot any router that isn't there's. So if you called in about your router they won't have the proper tools to help you. But if they did try and attempt to troubleshoot they were just trying to help. With something they weren't trained for. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

Once they worked out the "California issues," it has been a pretty solid connection.

The money saved via H@H is well worth the investment.

Even if it is not "faster/smarter/better."

    For me, it's been great!

I agree that the "hand off" between UMA and EDGE/GSM doesn't work as advertised but I can't beat the money saved by the H@H. Hopefully with a new OS release things will be cleaned up..
