Don't walk away but do run away from this one!
If I called the parents of this kid my friends I would be sorely tempted to slap the Sh#t out of one or both of them and ask what the Hell they are thinking!
If they weren't my friends I would dang sure let child welfare no of this situation.
That is not a "if it happens" but a "when it happens" situation and at the very least the news report about it wil not reflect very well on our community, so-to-speak.
At the worst it will detail the injuries or death of that kid and maybe others on the ride.
I've been riding since I was 6 years old but the bike was always sized proper for me at the time as I had parents that gave a damn, God bless 'em for giving me the freedom to grow up!

Hell no your not, I'm with RoadKing2000 too about maybe being tempted to notify the cops. Would be interesting to show up to see if "the family" did indeed bring the kid and ask the parents "WTF"? Probably not worth it though?

If this was 30 years ago i'd disagree with you.. But today? No way.. Your right.. Traffic being the factor..

At 15 I rode better than most men that had been on bike for years.. It's not his age that bothers me, it's the surrounding factors.

Sorry to see you in a lose/lose/lose situation. If you went on the ride & nothing happened you've compromised your values. If you go on the ride & the kid has an accident you have to be present & endure the suffering. If you don't go (the wisest choice) you're alienating people you think of as friends. Sometimes doin' the right thing is difficult, but it's still right. Have a good ride in another direction.

If I knew his skill level I might consider it.
I was riding a honda 750 four at 15, my only mode of transportation. My son is 14 and I know his ability and i would trust him to ride with me. I might be a douche for letting him drive a combine by himself, and take his boat to go fishing and hunting.
But hey that's me....do what you want
