Thread: Pregnancy testing question and false negatives?

Odd from a mom of 5 but I need input and am asking for your experiences...

With my previous pregnancies I have been pretty spot on with knowing when I am pregnant and usually a test confirms it.

I have been extremely tired, having mild cramps, backache, peeing a little more than usual so I thought that perhaps because I am getting ready to have AF these are the signs (due on 10/3). The extreme tiredness has been throwing me off because this is not usually a period sign for me (& the additional peeing)
Yesterday I started feeling tingly in my boobs and slight nausea started yesterday morning.
No nausea this morning but when I got in the car this afternoon I started to feel over heated and nauseous so I bought a test and tested when I got home and the test was negative.

Is it early enough that the hcg should have been detected two days before my AF date?

What are your experiences with testing slightly before your date?
