Has anyone seen Bright Ass Lights tail lights in person?

We put a set of these on a friend's trike, on the tour pack. 3 sections.. left blink/brake/right blink. Center section is also running lights. Take an 5 dollar module for each section to make them dual function. Makes all three sections running lights at lower intensity and then max brite for blink/brake function. Here is a link. Look about half way down and you will see sectional Flexible lights.

Brightest damn LEDs I ever looked at. The modules are just below the lights on the same web page. I am not associated with these guys in any way. I just thought they were amazing and a great price for their products. Again, brite as I have ever seen.

You are completely correct, I did not mean to imply that the BAL would not help. As a matter of fact, if I could find them local I would get a set for my '05 UC. I really meant that regardless of what we do as riders, there are plenty of IDIOTS out there that won't see us regardless of what we do, so we need to stay awake and watch for them. I posted once that when we ride we need to ride & watch all access like we (many of us) did back when we were on patrol...

reading the posts here, it seems most went with the less expensive BAL-1 lights. I'm thinking about the BAL-2's for my Ultra. Would those be 'too' bright?

They are very bright but in my opinion I would go for brighter lights in front. I purchased the HD fog lights prior to leaving for a trip to Texas. I can't tell you how many cagers started to pull out from side roads but immediately stopped when they saw my scoot coming. Don't hear as many people ramming bikers from the rear as I do pulling out in front of them.

I would like to see a comparison between the radiantz 136 LED ($124.99)
and the BAL1 4 LED ($199) tail light
you would think the radiantz has the edge

The police version with the 12 LEDs is way overkill. The 4 LED type is the one that almost all of us have and are getting all the reactions from people. Not sure of the item numbers anymore but some of the BAL 1 or 2 or 3 numbers refer to license plate above, smoked, laydown etc. The cop ones are $400 and are totally unnecessary.

BAL-1s are the first accessory we (family) buy for a bike. (We have four so far). No worries about a burned out stoplight bulb. I like the "two flash then steady" setting myself. It sends an unusually bright warning as soon as the brake is tapped that is clear and hard to overlook. So far, our experience has been that most other drivers don't get surprised when we are stopping

Of course, an eye on the mirror to dodge the path of erratic or close following drivers helps with that "emergency stop" mental reaction time thing. No light replaces the value of constant "heads up".

Anyway, that's my vote
