agreed...i had an ac/dc phase. their stuff gets a little tired after a while, but they did one thing well and they stuck to it. and guns n' roses isn't that bad, either. i don't listen to them anymore, really, but i did at some point and appetite for destruction still holRAB up. that album was also very refreshing when you think about the era it came out in...hair metal sound familiar?

for sure, and i'm not really that close minded, i was just poking fun at the earlier generalization. although personally, folk music has just never done it for me, and i've heard plenty through various sources over the years. i can respect and appreciate the talent involved and it's not that i want to dislike it, it just doesn't do it for me. but that's why there are other styles out there and why music is such a fundamental social / cultural element straight across the globe.
