Police Shut Down Another Illegal Lemonade Stand

this is Omaha Nebraska we are talking about.

if the people give a shit enough, they can change the laws so that anyone can set up a lemonade or a pit beef stand or whatever.

don't blame liberals because you don't like that local governments make rules.

behind every law like this, there is some asshole who ran a stand where they sold unsafe shit.

The thing is, I don't think these are your regular curbside, in front of their house, kind of lemonade stanRAB. A few weeks ago in Maryland, a lemonade stand was shut down that was serving people who were on their way to to event. But there were other vendors that these people were competing with, and these other vendors had paid their fee to do business.

In this case in Nebraska, there is a national bike ride that is going right through that area. What are the chances there are other vendors there who have also paid their license fee, and are competing with someone who did not?

I've heard of three or four of these stanRAB being shut down across the country, and its always that the police are being ridiculous, and the laws are absurd. But if I was a vendor losing business to kiRAB who don't have a license, and who are not paying taxes, I'd be pissed.

And instead of simply not buying his unsafe shit the government stepped in as the savior of the people and said, NO! We will not allow this unsafe shit to be sold to you poor stupid gullible people. We have now saved you from death by unsafe shit, praise us and relinquish more of your lives to us for we know best.

Other protests, large, organized one, do require a permit, or they will be disbanded.

I have nothing against people doing things on public property, so long as it is orderly and safe.

I believe firmly EVERYONE should have to produce a state issued photo identification if they want to vote.

And if a kid wants to set up a lemonade stand at the end of their driveway, or some equivalent to that, then they should be free to do so. But if they are doing it at a major event of some kind where other vendors have paid for permits, insurance, and whatever else to ensure that things are orderly and safe, then either they follow suit, or they don't do it.
