I am planning to buy a new tv this holiday, specifically a 50" Plasma Panasonic Viera 600 hz 1080p. The only problem is that I don't really plan on getting any HD channels, I have standard cable channels and am content with that. So I am wondering if this would affect the quality of the pictures. Would the graphics be bad if I did not have the HD channels, or would the standard channels be okay?

I am not really looking for "blow me out of my seats" quality, but would like to avoid blurriness and pixelated graphics, something at least better than my current 20 inch tv screen. Would a 720p flat screen be better for my situation? I also watch lots of movies through Netflix on the Wii and play video games as well, how would having a plasma affect this?

If there are any recommendations please feel free to suggest it, like a smaller screen size or other factors that may be better suited for me. I will leave a link of the two tv's I am debating over. Thanks for all the help.
