yes i am in san diego and would like to know the 411 on the service although i did speak to someone at the cricket store, and he told me that past El Cajon if your heading down the end of the 94 over my the hills or mountains it breaks up i guess there is no site out there, anyways i hope that helps,, also a question for anyone that can help, I heard talk that you could use VZW phones with cricket but not sure, also who does cricket use for cell phone service? i mean do they roam on someones network?

Pretty much if you've used verizon in the past - your service will be almost identical with cricket as they are temporarily renting their towers. I use it in San Diego, its pretty reliable definately on par with most providers.

i'm curious how far into TJ the coverage goes.. i'd hear rumors that this was unofficially part of there strategy in places near the border.

    link doesn't work for me.

    http://www.mycricket.com/cricketcove...rea?hocode=460

on the national extended calling area map: dark green is included in $50 plan (cricket markets) lighter green is the Travel Time (roaming) map

on the local calling area map: dark green is really good coverage, the lighter green is not as good(you might have problems indoors, etc..) as you can see the majority of the area is dark green.

Ya cricket is likely planning unoffical expansion in TJ, their strategy is aimed partially towarRAB hispanic customers.

yeah it goes well with the 'no social, no id, no problem' policy. i know there are a lot of people that live on one side of the border and work on the other too. i'm just trying to figure out how far the coverage extenRAB.
