Thread: About done with this illness

Hello Lisa,
God can heal you and we just need to pray that your healing will be soon. What time of the day would be good for you and I to pray. You name the time and day and I will do it with you. I'm so sorry that you're feeling so bad. It makes it really hard when food seems to be the enemy. I know how you feel. I'm thankful that so far as long as I stay away from Lactose I really can eat alot of things. What have you tryed eating because it sounRAB like you're not getting enough?
And you're right you shouldn't have to suffer and I just pray right now that God will touch you and make you feel whole. And thank you for your prayers because I know that God wants His Children to live the best life they can for Him. And when we are all healthy, we need to remeraber how we felt so that we can help others and so that we don't get so busy with life that we forget to give Him the Praise for what He's Done For Us.

You are awesome. Praying for Elisa123--when I read that I was so blessed. I was telling her that I think we need to pick a time that we can pray together for her. Just let me know if it would be possible.
I really pray that you will have peace about this test and that God will protect you during it.
I really think that you should try the Aciphex--I have done so well on it and have had no side effects.
I know that carbonated drinks are not good for us--But--I do love my sam's cola and it helps with my nausea.
I'm having 3 Drs. appointments this week. FunTomorrow I see a liver specialist--my liver enzymes are high. Wed.--colonoscopy, oh boy, but I've had so many, it's no big deal to me Fri.--CT Scan-having a bad pain just above my belly button about an hour after I eat. To be feeling half way good now--I sure am falling apart--I'm just Praising God cause' I know that He will be there with me and I have no fear. I saw the liver specialist yesterday and he said that I definitly have a "fatty liver" and called it Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver. He said it could be from all the medications that I've been on in the past---and there's been alot because of the chronic illness that no Dr. can give a diagnosis so they would say try this medication and like a durabie--I would--He said to only take the med's that I truly need and that's what I've already done. And he said that genetics plays a big part. Weight is also an issue--I only weigh 120lbs. but I'm just
5'1" but I carry all my weight around my middle--I don't have much of a waist or butt and my legs have always been skinny--My husband calls me chicken legsand it's true--but I just Praise God that I have legs.
My colonoscopy is tomorrow and today will be the worst of it. I've had so many that it's no big deal. The prep is called HalfLytely & Bisacodyl tablets--I've never used this prep before--it's new-I've always used CoLytely or GoLytely--you have to drink a gallon with them--This new one is 2 tablets and half as much of the liquid--I will let you know how it is--the bad thing always before is that your butt is so raw by the end that it kills you. I always start rubbing mentholatum there after each BM and that really helps. By the end the mentholtum burns a little but believe me--it feels better than being so raw. Believe me, it's one of the easiest tests--don't be concerned--they always give me Versed and Demerol--and I'm out like a light. I have never felt a thing. Actually, I feel the very best after the procedure because my colon feels so good until I start eating again. It's like when you get your teeth cleaned and you don't want to eat and get them dirty. Don't get me wrong--I love to eat good stuff but if I didn't have to eat to survive I think I would feel better. If you take any aspirin products that are not absolutely necessary--I would get off them now. Please don't be afraid--I pray that God will protect you and give your Dr. the skill he neeRAB. I've always been so out of it before they take me in that I truly don't know what the procedure is like but I know that they go as far in as they can BUT you don't feel a thing. If you are nervous just tell them as soon as you get there and I bet they will give you something to calm you. Just wanted to post because I dont know how much more of this disease I can handle. I have had gastroparesis for 5 years. 3 years ago I developed GERD, bile reflux, and a motility problem in my esophagus. My diet was not always the best, but now I watch very carefully what I eat.

I honestly just dont know what to do anymore. I am suffering beyond belief. There is something really wrong with my body. I have tried everything possible to help cure this illness but nothing has helped. I feel like I am going ot be sick and suffering with this until I pass out or die. That scares me. I would give anything to be normal. anything. I can't tell you how sick I have been with this illness. I am afraid to eat anything for the fear of the pain. I had bananas and some soymilk this morning and I am having more acid than if I ate at mcdonalRAB. I had the nissen fundo done last year and that did not help at all. I am completely at my witts end. Does anyone understand how much this takes your life away from you? I have absolutely no appetite, and I never feel hunger. That is from the gastroparesis. I havent felt hunger in about 6 years. Can u imagine never feeling hunger? I eat because I have too, food does not appetize me at all. Nexium and PPIs help not one bit. I have been everywhere, spent thousanRAB of dollars on tests and naturopathic doctors. Tried every supplement known to man. I even purchased these 200 herbs from China that said it would heal gastroparesis. Well, it didnt do anything but waste my money. I never eat junk anymore. I eat bananas because they are smoothe on my inflamed throat. I don't know what to do and feel completely alone. Is there any hope that I will be normal? What is normal? What is it like to not suffer everyday? I don't know what that is like. Its been too long

I'm so glad that you're not hurting as bad. Why don't you name the time for us to pray and I'll know to pray at the same time 1 hour earlier than you. If it's 9:00pm there it's 8:00pm here, right? It's not good that you lost 5 lbs. in one week. It just breaks my heart that you're having so much pain and problems with this. You're right no one does understand but I have so much love for you "My Sister in Christ" and I pray that God "The Great Physician" will heal you and make you whole again. That you're pain will be gone and that you can live a normal life. I know how it feels when Drs. can't seem to do anything for you. I maybe repeating myself but I've had a chronic illness since 1980 that still hasn't been diagnosed. It was caused by a flu virus. So I do know how that part of it feels--like the Drs. just don't care to take the time to help. It's very frustrating but you can't give up. I get tired of going to them but my hope is that one day I'll find the right one. And if I don't then I will just do the best that I can to Live for The Lord. I think that we could set a time that is convenient for you to pray--And I will pray at that same time--We can ask the Lord together for Mercy and Healing and Praise Him for His Love--I would do this every night at the same time with you if you want--God Loves to hear from His Children and miracles still happen. I think that if all of us girls that are writing each other would become Prayer Warriors together that it would make a difference in all of our lives. Just know that I do care about you and that you are not alone. And I pray that God will take the fear from you and give you Peace. precious49

I sip soda when the mucus is really bad. It seems to clear it from my throat. I don't chug it down, just a sip here and there to try to get that junk out of my throat.

Precious, good luck with the liver specialist. Some of my enzymes were a bit high but after sending me for an abdominal ultrasound my Dr didn't seem concerned. Some medications can make them high. Please let us know what the specialist says.

Tell me about your experiences with a colonoscopy. I'm supposed to have one on the 21st. What prep do you do? What is the procedure like? What sedation do they give you? Do you feel anything? I'm terrified. I have an extra long colon with twists and turns and I'm scared the Dr will injure me!

I'm praying for both of you.

Hello all Acid Reflux People,
I've had this problem for about 18 yrs. Tryed all the medications--the only one that has helped me is aciphex because I'm very Lactose(milk allergy) intolerant. It's the only one that doesn't have a lactose base. I feel for all of you--Eating properly does help me and I know that leaves out alot of fooRAB but it's worth it to me. I've also just started on Florajen which is a Probiotic Dietary Supplement--aides with digestion--it's the good bacteria our bodies already have but all that we put in our bodies (antibiotics,stress, sugar, alcoholc pollution and fast food) destroys the good bacteria. It seems to really be helping in many ways. I will be praying for all of you that you will find what will help you. precious49

Hello--I'm so glad to see that you've responded. I was worried about you so I've just been praying for you.
I agree with you. It was perfect until Eve messed it up but God is so good that he gave us Jesus to die for our sins.
I don't understand why some are healed and others aren't but that doesn't keep me from asking God for a Perfect Healing from Him.
I've been dealing with my illness for 28yrs. and I'm really tired of it. Without God's Love, I would have never made it. I know that He can heal because I've seen healings and I've heard from others about healings. I don't think that we should ever quit asking God for that Perfect Healing. And believe that it will happen. Because we do not know when His Time of Healing is going to be ours.
I do know that if I never get that healing that it will not ever keep me from the Love of God and His Mercy.
I will continue to pray that God will heal you and me. I also pray that you have a good day and that the Love of God surrounRAB you.

I think the reason that you get more hoarse during the day is that you are talking throughout the day and so the use of your vocal corRAB increases the irritation. They are probably already irritated from the reflux and then as you talk, they get more irritated. I find the same thing. When my GERD was milder, I was always fine in the morning and my symptoms increased as the day went on. Then I started noticing a bit of burning in my throat at night, so I started taking Zantac at night in addition to my Nexium in the morning. I also think that in a way, these medications make your symptoms worse in that your body accomodates to the dosage and you end up having to increase and take more! I now take Nexium twice a day and still Zantac at night! And I do everything else right and my symptoms keep getting worse, gradually!

I am contemplating acupuncture as well! I have been going to an osteopath and I think it has helped somewhat but it's a chicken/egg thing--he says I have tightness and immobility in the area of my spine where the valve of the esophagus goes meets the stomach---is it that way b/c it's so irritated, or, do I have reflux b/c that area doesn't work properly? Who knows......

I'm going to set my phone to remind me to pray for you at 1:20 on Fri. I just set it to go off 15 minutes before your test and I will be in constant prayer for you. I just ask God right now to give you peace and calm. I've had so many tests over the yrs. that I just don't even get concerned at all. My blood pressure today before they did my colonoscopy was 126 over 72. Not stressed at all. I just try to have no fear and let God do it all. Sometimes it's not easy but when I give it to Him and leave it there--well, it's just easy. My favorite saying is--If I can't fix it and God won't then just forget about it. If you are anxious when you get there just tell them that you need something right away. And I just pray right now that God will protect you so that we can continue Praising God Together.
I just love communicating with all of you girls and it breaks my heart how we all suffer but I know that God is The God of Miracles and I just pray that He gives each one of us the Miracle that we need so that each one of us can be a testimony of His Love For Us. precious49 God Bless You and Yours Today and EveryDay:angel:
