    Canon EOS 600D

The Canon EOS 600D is the successor to the popular Editors' Choice winning camera, the EOS 550D. The 600D now sits at the top-end of the company's entry-level SLR range, taking all the bits that made the 60D good and shrinking them down a bit. The articulating flip-out LCD screen is the big change to the series, a welcome addition for photographers who like to shoot from different angles. It also has incredibly high resolution at 1.04 million dots.

Elsewhere, the 600D also gets an 18-megapixel CMOS sensor and the Digic 4 image processor. Full HD video recording at 30, 25 and 24fps is almost Canon standard now, and the 600D also comes with video snapshot mode which borrows elements from the company's camcorder range. It lets photographers take a small snippet of footage (two/four/eight seconds) and piece together the clips in a montage with background music if desired.

Like the 60D, the 600D also has creative filters that apply different effects to images after shooting, including grainy black-and-white, toy camera and fish eye.
The 600D will be available as body only, a single lens kit with an 18-55mm IS II lens, twin lens kit with an 18-55mm IS II lens and 55-250mm, super kit with 18-135mm and premium kit with 18-200mm. All kits will be available from March 2011.

Edit Canon EOS 600D/Rebel T3i H.264 footage for trimming

Since Canon launched EOS 600D/Rebel T3i in February, 2011. The Digital SLRs are flying from shelves everywhere. Now, let’s go for it with a further acquaintance about its second feature. Canon EOS 600D shoots Full-HD video with manual control of frame rate, exposure and sound. The videos are recorded in MOV with H.264 as video codec and Linear PCM as audible codec. The movie frame rate is 29.97fps at max quality with the maximum movie resolution, 1920*1080.
As mentioned above, EOS 600D’s codec H.264 is a “delivery” codec-designed for viewing rather than editing. It is certain that you have been aware with this point too. Hence, if you are still seeking for the software which can edit the EOS 600 H.264 MOV footage directly, or if you are still confused to choose the right software which can convert H.264 MOV footage to editing software friendly codec, Brorsoft Video Converter will help you get rid of such problems. It not only functions as a converter, but also performs as a H.264 MOV editor. Now, take trimming for instance, in the following article, I will show you how to edit Canon EOS 600D/Rebel T3i H.264 footage for trimming.

Preparation: Connect Canon EOS 600D to iMac/Mac Book with a USB cable or insert SD memory card to a card reader to import the H.264 MOV file to hard drive .
Step 1: Upload EOS 600D H.264 MOV footage to the program
Run the Brorsoft Video Converter program as the most comprehensive and professional H.264 1080p MOV converter and editor. Find the "Add" button on the up-left corner, by clicking it or dragging the video directly you can easily import H.264 MOV footage.

Step 2: Choose MPEG-2 as the output format
Click the “Format” button, and move your mouse cursor to the drop-down list for choosing a output format. We recommend the “MPEG-2 (*.mov)” in the “Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas” section as an editing software friendly format. Then, click the “Output” button to specify your output destination folder below.

Step 3: Edit EOS 600D H.264 MOV footage for trimming
To start with, click the “Editor” button. In the new window, the H.264 MOV editorgenerates Original Preview and Output Preview for you. Then, find the “trim” tab, in the timeline, set the start time point and the end time point in the "start" and "end" boxes. And, finally click the “Ok” button to finish editing. You can also change your new clip length by clicking “Reset” button.

Step 4: Convert EOS 600D H.264 MOV footage with trimming
Click the big round “Convert” button to start conversion. The output file is the new video clip you want after trimming.

The combination of converting and editing function enables the Brorsoft Video Converter program more competitive. More options for editing like cropping, watermarking, effect filtering etc are available according to your individual needs.

Tip: You’d better confirm the settings during editing EOS 600D MOV footage because the resolution 1920*1080 with 30 fps frame rate is favorable. After setting these parameters, you can keep the original HD resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.
