    Dinner and a kitchen mishap

I made a shrimp and broccoli Alfredo. The recipe is in the link. I cut
it back a little, but left in most of the called for amount of shrimp. I
cut the pasta amount in half, used whipped cream cheese instead of a
block, but not quite 6 cups of broccoli. This recipe is a keeper,
though I can't make it often due to the fat content.

When I was peeling the raw shrimp, I realized I hadn't gotten a bowl out
to put them in. I had a couple of shrimp in my left hand, and reached
for a bowl in the cabinet on the top shelf with my right. Somehow the
whole stack of bowls fell out onto the counter top. I lost a small glass
bowl, 2 older stoneware bowls (side dish sized) and the rest survived. I
really hope I got up all of the shards. I vacuumed several times.

So sorry about the crash. Get a flashlight, turn off the other lights and
shine the flashlight around the area to see if there's any shard sparkling.
If so or if not, blot the area with the sticky side of duct tape or masking
tape. I nearly never break anything but when I do, it's a major mess - last
one was a quart of mayonnaise; thought we'd have to tear the kitchen out and
    build a new one. Polly

Thanks Polly. I will do that now. I have cats so I worry about anything
    broken that might hurt them.

Cheryl, I hope the stoneware pieces that broke were not special family
pieces or anything like that. Glad you didn't get cut in the process.

LG is an idiot. Why on earth would I get upset about cream cheese? I'd
probably have used neuftchatel; less fat

Sounds tasty! I'll put it on my list of things to try Neufchatel is a
lower fat choice than cream cheese. Indulge!

I'm sorry you lost some of your bowls. I do hope you got all the shards up!
You don't need to step on that kind of reminder.
