Toon Zone Talkback: Fox, Foxworthy set to get animated

    As reported by Variety

I think they might have to add a few hours to Sunday night to fit everything in. As for the show, I honestly can't see it staying in there for the long haul. While NASCAR dads might be a recognized socio-economic group, whether they like animation has yet to be determined.

Well, Nancy Cartwright is doing very well with both The Simpsons and The Kellys.

Toon Zone Talkback: Fox, Foxworthy set to get animated

"It's good, but will it get them off their tractors?"

And remember that I was the first to call this one: I imagine this will be Fox's first Flash-animated prime-time sitcom.

I really do read too fast.

I thought Foxtrot was getting animated.

Wow. Yet another Fox animated sitcom about a dysfunctional family. That's new.

Oh, wait, this show revolves around NASCAR, so it's different.

I try not to pre-judge things before seeing them, but this doesn't sound like it's going to be all that much. I don't find Foxworthy's live-action sitcom on TBS all that funny, so this show's really going to have show me something for me to raise my expectations for it.

If you get paid millions of dollars to work on an animated program, you might be a redneck.

    Oh, wait?

I can?t say that I?m looking forward to this.

That's Bill Engvall's show. Jeff Foxworthy had a short-lived primetime sitcom that aired over a decade ago.

Considering that sitcom and Blue Collar TV, I can't say that Jeff has had a very good track when it comes to TV shows, and that I'm honestly not expecting much from this.

So add this in with Tommy Lee's show about his tattoos that come to life and an animated version of The Pitts, and now I wonder if Fox is afraid to buy from anyone with an actual history in animation.

This reminds me, wasn't there going to be a Larry the Cable Guy cartoon?
    I wish
