This is the talkback thread for "AdWeek" Says 3-D Super Bowl Ads Fizzled.
The lack of participation mentioned here depresses me. Even if the 3-D effect wasn't that great, it was still a fun experience. People missed out.

Getting couch potatoes to go to the effort of putting on paper glasses just to watch a commercial is not a good idea in the first place.
When the ads aired, my wife said, "Oh crap. The glasses are in the car."
So we changed the channel and watched the "Puppy Bowl" instead.
And thanks to teh internetz there's no such thing anymore as "missing out" on a TV ad.
i don't know about anyone else but i thought the 3d commercials were pretty cool!!
I missed it.
I didn't have any glasses when the ad played but I watched it either way. It looked strange without the glasses though.
Even though I got the 3D glasses, I missed the SoBe 3D ad and the Monsters vs. Aliens trailer on TV, but was able to watch them via Hulu on "teh Internet." The movie trailer was better than the SoBe ad.
On the bright side, I'll have 3D glasses on hand for whatever they have planned next which requires them.
