Really bad mood swings develop 2 days before my period please help advice?!?

I feel really depressed during the first few days of my period and have really bad mood swings 2 days before I get them like I get really irritatable and angry then later start crying....I'm 21 and just recently Ive developed this sort of 'mood' during my periods and theyre alot heavier and hurt more now that im older...what should I do? any advice/ medication to take?I even start crying like a big baby and also become really sensitive to what people say...what could it be?

PMS or PMDD simply said. We females change cycles about every 5 to 7 years. I would definitely see your gynecologist because you say it's heavier and your symptoms have increased. As long as everything is fine after your visit I would go on birth control not just for protection but to control the flow and also the mood swings will become more manageable. I have PMDD and and I had the same symptoms but I not only got the crying moods I also the witchy mood sometimes.I hope this helps a little.
