This topic was not talked about in class, my notes, or the book... but it is on my exam review sheet... I'm not getting any information when I Google it either... stumped

Which type of sediment settles at greater fluid velocities than sand?
a.) clay
b.) gravel
c.) mud
d.) silt

From largest to smallest: Gravel ---> Sand ---> Silt ---> Mud ---> Clay

I know that GRAVEL is the only detritus larger than SAND out of all the answer choices, so I think the answer may be B.) Gravel...

I know that Gravel settles FASTER than Sand because it is larger and heavier...
but the question is worded strangely, and I'm not sure if I'm thinking about it the right way...

Clay would settle the slowest out the choices...

Thanks in advance!
